protect our waterways
Awareness is a crucial priority to ensure long-term success in restoring and
preserving the health of our watersheds, watercourses, riparian areas, and
fish species.Through raising awareness, together we can work towards
protecting and conserving these vital resources. For example,we can
spread awareness regarding the importance of protecting riparian areas as
they play critical roles in filtering pollutants and stabilizing stream banks.
Together we can take action and make a positive impact on the health of
our aquatic habitats, leading to a brighter future for our communities and
the natural world.
Effective collaboration between the community,non-government and
government organizations can help to establish shared visions and
goals, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and resources, and build
meaningful relationships.Collaborative efforts can also help to ensure
that the Aquatic Habitat Restoration Program is culturally appropriate,
respects traditional knowledge and practices, and engages with the
community in a meaningful way
